TAKE THE ARMOR OFF. FIND OUT WHO'S UNDERNEATH.
A no-nonsense personal growth course for high-functioning men who are done carrying it alone — built to help you trace exactly where your patterns started, decide who you're choosing to become, and leave with a written plan for showing up differently.

"The armor kept you safe when you needed it — this work is about deciding, with clear eyes, whether you still need it now."
— Darreise McCarter

Darreise McCarter
I want to start by saying something directly: I built this course because I know what it costs to keep the armor on.
Not in a vague, inspirational way. I mean the specific cost — the conversations that go sideways because you get defensive before you even realize it, the relationships where people you love feel like they can't reach you, the private weight of carrying everything while looking like you have it handled. If any of that lands, you don't need me to explain it further. You already know it.
What I also know is that most of the content out there for men either tells you to toughen up or asks you to process your feelings in ways that feel completely foreign. Neither one actually gets to the work. The armor doesn't come off because someone inspired you or because you intellectually understand that vulnerability is good. It comes off when you sit down — honestly, without flinching — and trace exactly where it came from, what it's still doing, and what it's quietly costing you in the relationships and moments that matter most.
That's what Armor Off is. It's a structured, no-nonsense framework for men who are ready to do that examination — not to become someone unrecognizable, but to become someone clearer. The curriculum moves through your patterns, your wounds, your real versus your stated values, the way anger and silence and avoidance function as protection, and what it actually looks like to communicate and lead yourself without shame running the engine. It ends with a written plan — your plan — for who you are choosing to become and how you intend to show up.
I won't lecture you, and I won't soften the edges. I'll ask honest questions and trust you to answer them honestly. I'll treat the work you do here as the disciplined, courageous act that it is. And I'll be straight with you the whole way through — because that's what you deserve, and because anything less would be a waste of your time.
If you're ready, let's get started.

About your teacher
Darreise McCarter knows what it means to carry armor. Growing up without being raised by his parents, Darreise learned early how to survive. Abandonment, anger, and difficult life experiences left him guarded, aggressive, and rough around the edges. For years, strength meant handling things on his own and keeping what he was carrying to himself. As he grew older, Darreise became a hardworking and loving man, but he also realized that surviving his past wasn't the same as healing from it. Therapy gave him an opportunity to confront experiences he had carried for years, understand himself differently, and begin doing the work necessary to grow. That journey helped inspire The Space. Today, Darreise wants to use what he's learned to help other men have conversations many were never taught how to have. His goal isn't to present himself as a man who has everything figured out. It's to create a place where men can be honest, hold each other accountable, work through what they're carrying, and become better for themselves and the people they love. His message is simple: The armor may have protected you, but you don't have to wear it forever.
